11 May 2018 Crime News

The Public Prosecution Department has withheld a petition concerning repeated rape of a minor girl filed against a Kuwaiti man in his 30s, because the testimonies lack concrete proofs and are considered mere inferences.

Details of the case indicate the prosecution officer found out that the suspect had kidnapped the victim from her residence to his apartment.

The officers used satellite movement to affirm the presence of the suspect within the vicinity of the victim’s residence, but detectives could not prove whether or not the victim was actually raped or forced to consume illicit drug. In his defense, attorney of the suspect Lawyer Mohammad Al- Husseini said the submission of the victim’s father was suspicious.

He emphasized the father only inferred in proving the allegation without concrete proofs. He stressed that evidences provided by the father were those he heard from his daughter, as he was not personally present at the scene. He noted other evidences gathered from the General Department for Criminal Evidences and forensics indicated the victim remains a virgin without any harm to her private part.
