Salmiya New Hotspot For Bachelors From Jleeb & Mahboula To Avoid Curfew

08 April 2020 Lockdown

After the Cabinet issued a decision to enforce a complete curfew in Mahboula and Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh areas for a period of two weeks, a number of company owners moved their workers out of the curfew areas into hotel apartments in other residential areas so that they could continue their work.

After a number of residents of one of the areas in Salmiya expressed to Arabic daily Al-Rai, their fears of the risk of transmission that might be caused by the accommodation of bachelors in the hotels adjacent to their homes, the newspaper monitored the process of entry and exits of workers yesterday morning, to and from the hotels located in the Salmiya region in large numbers.

Some of the people of the area revealed that the arrival of these large numbers of them came at the time when the curfew was announced, confirming that some of them were residing in the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area, while others were in Mahboula.

They added that they had detected a number of singles living in rooms in the adjacent hotel, and in each apartment there are almost 20 workers together, which is a risk of spreading the virus to many residents of the area.
