Saudi Interpol Has Arrested An Kuwaiti Fugitive Who Was Helped By Ex-mp To Escape

The Saudi Interpol, in cooperation with its Kuwaiti counterpart, has arrested an unidentified Kuwaiti who had been sentenced in absentia and had escaped to Saudi Arabia on April 26, 2017, with the help of an unidentified former MP through the Al-Nuwaiseeb border post.

According to a security source, the fugitive who was arrested in Hafr al-Batin in the vicinity of the home of his Saudi relatives will be extradited to Kuwait. The man, after a failed attempt to escape, reportedly resisted arrest but was overpowered and taken into custody.

The suspect was reportedly transported out of the country by hiding in a car. In the meantime, the Ministry of the Interior has referred a Lieutenant Officer and a Corporal for investigation after accusing them of dereliction of duty.
