Saudi To Handover Escaped Kuwaiti Prisoner

The Criminal Security General Department in the Interior Ministry is now waiting for a Kuwaiti prisoner who escaped from the Civilian Executive Department in Sulaibiya two weeks ago and was arrested in Hafr Al-Batin in Saudi Arabia after the local authorities informed Saudi Interpol. Steps have been taken to hand over the Kuwaiti prisoner to local authorities. His two brothers and three friends were arrested for helping him escape to Saudi Arabia. They were referred to the Public Prosecution which ordered detention of the two brothers for 21 days while the three friends were released on bail of KD 1,000. After his arrest, the suspect told investigators that he managed to escape with the help of his two brothers and three friends one of whom works in Nuwaiseeb Border checkpoint. Security sources confirmed that Saudi authorities will hand over the suspect to their Kuwaiti counterparts upon completion of interrogation.
