Spring Camps That Are Not Removed By Owners Before March 16 Will Be Confiscated By Kuwait Municipality

Spring camps that are not removed by owners before March 16 will be lifted by Kuwait Municipality and the contents will be sold in a public auction three months from the date of camp lifting, reports Al-Rai daily quoting reliable sources from Kuwait Municipality.

They explained that this decision is applicable on both licensed and unlicensed camps. The procedure includes issuing a citation, and obligating the owners to clear the site, after which the confiscated assets will be released as per the applicable law.

Regarding unlicensed camps, the sources indicated that the confiscated assets will be considered to belong to an unknown source due to which their owner must prove they belong to him.

In both cases, Kuwait Municipality will follow procedures as per the law on cleanliness and road works. They said the auction for selling the camp contents will be in favor of Kuwait Municipality, adding that the inspection campaigns will begin this week, and inspection teams will be sent to unlicensed camps first, followed by the licensed ones.
