Suspected Hospital Negligence Leads To Inquiry Into Girl’s Death

An inquiry was launched into the circumstances death of a Kuwaiti girl who passed away last month. 

The five-year-old girl was admitted to Al-Edan Hospital on March 27, after sustaining injuries in a road accident. 

Doctors reportedly kept her first in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), before discharging her a day later in “good health”.

She passed away last Tuesday after her health deteriorated due to a blood haemorrhage which caused her death. 

Health Ministry Undersecretary Dr. Mustapha Ridha ordered the inquiry to find out whether the girl had died due to medical negligence. 

He gave directives to take the necessary measures pending results of the investigation.
