Syrian Woman Blackmailed – Threatened To Publish Pics Online

A Syrian woman has filed a complaint with Cybercrimes Department of the Criminal Investigations Department accusing an unidentified person, who she claims she does not know, of threatening to publish her pictures in the social media in an attempt to blackmail her, reports Al-Rai daily.

The complainant said the person actually posted her pictures and then deleted them on condition she satisfies his lust. A security source told the daily the victim ignored the threats until the blackmailer began publishing the photos and threatening to send the pictures to her family and complained to the Criminal Investigation Department. The source added the victim has provided police the names of some of the persons whom she suspects.
