Teachers With Fake Degrees Face The Law
Assistant Undersecretary for Private and Quality Education Dr Abdulmuhsen Al-Huwailah has warned that private school teachers found to be holding fake certificates will be referred to the Public Prosecution in coordination with the Private Education Department and Ministry of Higher Education.
Speaking on the sideline of the World Greenery Day celebration organized by the Private Education Department, Al-Huwailah affirmed the department is keen on ensuring the teachers’ certificates are genuine and accredited by relevant bodies. He asked the schools to evaluate the teachers’ certificates, suspend teachers whose certificates are not accredited and then refer them to the prosecution.
Meanwhile, educational sources said Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr Hamed Al-Azmi and acting Undersecretary Yusuf Al-Najjar issued strict instructions to the directors of all educational districts and Engineering Affairs Department to follow up the cleaning of schools’ roofs and rainwater drainage to prevent rain-related problems.
Al-Azmi stressed the importance of exerting tremendous efforts to carry out this work according to the maintenance contracts, through direct contracting or by using the schools’ funds under the supervision of the Engineering Affairs Department. He confirmed the ministry is implementing the maintenance contracts for all educational districts
