Team Checks 461 Factories And Shops During Ramadan

Director of the Kuwait Municipality branch in Mubarak Al-Kabeer Eng Samiyah Al-Enezi revealed that inspectors from the Investigation and Services Followup Department checked 461 factories and shops during Ramadan. Al-Enezi said these inspections are part of the campaign launched by the Public Relations Department under the slogan, “Your Health Concerns Us”. She explained the daily follow-ups by inspectors before and during the holy month were intensified to ensure the safety and security of consumers considering the spread of spoilt food items in the markets. She added the inspectors issued 76 citations, removed 263 advertisement billboards and sent 438 samples of food items to the Ministry of Health laboratories, indicating the concerned officials will continue their activities across the governorate.
