Thank You Humanitarian Leader--- We Lead, Others Follow
NEW ZEALAND’s Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern received great admiration and appreciation from leaders and nations around the world for her understanding, realization, wise administration and attitude after the crisis sparked by the mosque shootings in Christchurch.
Deserving calls are being made for her to be awarded the Noble Peace Prize.
The youngest prime minister wore ‘hijab’ when she visited the city where the massacre of Muslims occurred. She embodied the fact that there is no difference between the Muslims and non-Muslims. She vowed to deny the white murderer the notoriety he is craving for when she ordered his name never to be mentioned as he continues to spend time in jail while waiting for his case.
The families of victims applauded the prime minister’s move. She affirmed that the unfortunate ethnic crime will not get under the skin of the New Zealand society and its social calibers; thereby, preventing retaliation which would have happened especially by those who follow the ideology of violence among Muslims, many of whom are in New Zealand and every corner of the world.
The prime minister prevented violent reaction to ethnic violence – the most horrific and bloody violence. The probability of it happening was high due to their capability to retaliate. They did it and they continue doing so in Afghanistan, Iraq, US, Europe and Arab countries.
Prime Minister Ardern’s attitude towards the horrific incident reminded us and the entire world about the humanitarian attitude, which is unprecedented in modern history – that of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah after the bloody attack on Imam Al-Sadiq Mosque which occurred also on a Friday in June 2015.
Less than an hour after the attack, HH the Amir entered the mosque despite the advice of his security detail to leave due to fear that there might be risk of unexploded devices in the area which posed direct threat to him before the concerned security agencies could comb and clean the place.
However, HH the Amir said: “These are my children.” He insisted on staying in spite of the risk. Since then, these words are being inscribed in gold in the world history book as the world agreed on the compassion and sincerity which, until today, political observers say has become an example in the political culture of Kuwait.
This attitude has deep meaning and reassurance for citizens in terms of their relationship with the ruling family.
Therefore, we are proud and we continue to take pride in how HH the Amir reacted. He was at the scene and met families of the victims to console them in their time of loss. He also attended the congregational prayer for their souls in the Grand Mosque.
Thank you very much our renowned humanitarian leader. We tell him: You set an example through your unforgettable reaction for others to follow. In your capacity as our leader, you put us in the lead while others who go through a similar ordeal follow our example.
