The Misdemeanor Section at the First Instance Court acquitted a female citizen of stealing KD 5,000. The plaintiff said she participated in a merry-go-round savings scheme with her colleagues, so she paid KD 500 per month to the defendant.

However, when it was her turn to receive her share, the defendant refused to give her the money. Attorney Jarrah Al-Shuraikah, who defended the accused in court, pointed out that his client has been denying the accusation since the investigation started. He also handed over to the court a copy of the receipt that showed his client transferred KD 1,000 to the bank account of the plaintiff
