Three Inspecting Teams Formed To Monitor Prices During Eid Al- Fitr

Ministry of Commerce and Industry announced Wednesday the formation of three inspecting teams to regulate and follow up on goods prices in all markets during Eid Al- Fitr. Each team includes 30 inspectors who cover all governorates in the country to ensure availability of various kinds of goods in all markets and control their prices coinciding with the upcoming Eid Al-Fitr, said the Control and Consumer Protection Sector at the Ministry in a statement.

The ministry is keen to prevent the exploitation of consumers and to ensure abiding market regulations and applicable laws in force, the statement added.

The ministry called on consumers to report any commercial fraud or non-compliance with the rules and regulations in force through Hotline 135, stressing the continuation of the inspection campaigns and reception of complaints and taking appropriate action in accordance with the laws.

Meanwhile, Kuwait’s Army Chief of General Staff Lieutenant General Mohammad Al-Khuder has issued a decision to release military personnel held for disciplinary charges, the defense ministry announced Wednesday.

The decision was made upon the directions of First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah to allow military inmates celebrate Eid Al-Fitr holiday with their families, the ministry said in a press statement.

Furthermore, Sheikh Nasser Al-Sabah congratulated military men on the advent of Eid Al-Fitr, praying to Allah Almighty to bring back this joyous occasion with goodness, grace, and blessing on everyone in the country. He also prayed to Allah Almighty to perpetuate the grace of security, safety, stability, and glory on Kuwait under the leadership of His Highness the Amir and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces Sheikh Sabah Al- Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.
