Tobacco Unsuitable For Use Was Found In Three Containers

Within the framework of a work plan which has been introduced by the Containers Management Committee Director-General of the General Administration of Customs, the customs authorities recently opened 10 containers and found large quantities of tobacco and molasses, reports Al-Anba daily.

The daily quoting customs sources said 1.250 million packets of molasses tobacco unsuitable for use was found in three containers. The tobacco was shipped from two Asian countries and was found hidden among incense, while the seven other containers came from an Arab country.

According to the work plan any container which remains uncleared inside the ports for more than 90 days a committee formed for this purpose inspects the contents and takes necessary action. The contents of the containers have been damaged citing unsuitability for use.
