Trio Under Probe For Carrying, Consuming And Trading In Drugs

Three people have been referred to the General Department of Drugs Control for possessing, consuming and trafficking in narcotics, reports Al-Anba daily.

According to security sources the suspects were making use of KNET to promote drugs. The arrest came after personnel from the Criminal Investigations Department received a tip-off that the suspects were trafficking in drugs. 
The main suspect, 43-year-old Egyptian man, identified only Montaser S.A., was put under surveillance for some time and his house raided after taking a search and arrest warrant from the Public Prosecution. In his apartment in Mahboula police found three large bags containing shabu, small sachets used in trafficking the drugs, a sensitive scale, KNET and money. During interrogation he admitted to trafficking in drugs and gave police the names of his accomplices Abu Al-Maati born in 1977 and Mahmoud A. born in 1975.
