Trio Wanted In Various Crimes Arrested

13 February 2016 Kuwait

Plainclothes policemen from the Saad Al-Abdullah Police Station have arrested a Saudi, an Eritrean and a non-Kuwaiti who had been convicted by courts and sentenced to various jail terms. According to a security source the arrest came after the Operations Room of the Interior Ministry received a tip-off from an unidentified source about the presence of the men in the home of one of the culprits in the same area.

The securitymen armed with a search and arrest warrant then raided the home of the 24-year-old Eritrean and took the three men into custody. Police records showed the Eritrean had been sentenced in absentia to seven years imprisonment in a forgery case. The daily added, the 23-year-old Saudi had been sentenced, also in absentia, to 42 months for an unknown reason, to be followed by deportation and the non-Kuwaiti for 3 years imprisonment for committing thefts.
