Women On Visit Visa Caught For Voilating Residency Law

Personnel from Residence Affairs Department apprehended 38 people from different nationalities in a recent campaign against residency and labor law violators.

Public Relations and Security Media Department of the Interior Ministry stated the Residence Affairs Department received information about a flat in Hawalli area used for sheltering domestic workers (visa 20 holders) after they’re incited to run away from their sponsors to engage in illicit activities for money. Guarded by search and arrest warrant, detectives raided the flat and arrested the suspects who confessed to all charges during interrogation.

Also, the officers arrested four people from different nationalities for running a bogus domestic recruitment office to cheat citizens and expatriates. While checking their details, the officers discovered all four individuals escaped from their sponsors and were involved in various cases.
