Breaking Khaleeji Cultural Myths

Yousef Albagshi is a visual artist, cartoonist, animator, director and a filmmaker. With a bachelor’s degree in theater and stage design, Yousef developed an interest in visual Arts. He produced many short films of which he won several awards from different international film festivals. Yousef perceives art as a way for humankind to share experiences regardless of their cultural or ethnical backgrounds. He is inspired by the simplest, most regular, everyday details surrounding him. His work can be interpreted from multiple perspectives depending on the audience and their different angles.
