Introduction To Ceramics

The best introduction to pottery is in making something for your home. This week long workshop introduces you to making your own bowls, cups, planters or tiles using a variety of techniques. We begin with the fundamentals, the basic properties of clay, and help you develop competent hand building skills. We experiment with various surface treatments - applying textures or colors, glaze application and cold finishes. Bring your creative ideas and any texture tools of your fancy. At the end of the week, come away with a unique item to take home and use.
