2 Asian Expats Held With Liquor
Two Asian expatriates were arrested in Abu Halifa area in possession of ten bottles of locally manufactured liquor. According to security sources, Ahmadi securitymen were patrolling Abu Halifa area at night when they suspected a vehicle with two occupants and ordered the driver to pull over. They checked the vehicle and found the ten liquor bottles. When questioned, the suspects confessed that they were planning to sell the liquor bottles to their clients. The suspects were arrested and referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.
Kuwaiti stabbed: A Kuwaiti citizen in his 20s was stabbed on the shoulder by a Kuwaiti juvenile during a quarrel between them in Jahra area. According to security sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information about the quarrel, securitymen and paramedics rushed to the location. The injured citizen was referred to Jahra Hospital for treatment, while the juvenile was arrested and referred to the police station of the area. Necessary action was taken. Meanwhile, a Sri Lankan expatriate filed a case at Farwaniya Police Station against two Bangladeshi expatriates, accusing them of beating him. He presented a medical report and revealed about an ongoing dispute between him and the suspects, which was the reason why the latter attacked him. Securitymen arrested the two suspects and detained them in police custody. Necessary action was taken thereafter.
Drifters in quarrel: A quarrel broke out among some young men in Dhaher area when a reckless driver started performing stunts in front of a Kuwaiti’s house. According to security sources, when the stunt performance began, the house owner came out of the house holding a cleaver and shouted at the motorist, asking him why he was performing the stunt. This led to a physical fight between them, and 14 other young men joined in. The Operations Room of Ministry of Interior did not receive information about the incident, but instead saw a video clip on social media. Immediately, securitymen tracked down one of the vehicles seen in the clip and identified the motorist.
