5 Domestic Workers For A Citizen

In a bid to fight the soaring fees of recruiting domestic laborers which reached up to KD 1,400, the interior ministry’s visa affairs director Maj Gen Talal Maarafi issued a directive limiting the total number of domestic labor visas a citizen can issue every year to five only. 

The measure also helps fight human trafficking, especially as some sponsors tend to bring in many workers and then relinquish their sponsorship to the highest bidder.
