5 More Held For Begging
The Public Relations and Security Media Department in the Interior Ministry has announced the arrest of five individuals for begging in various parts of the country. In a press statement, the department revealed those arrested are as follows:
â– Ali AbdulMuhsin Birah, Iranian born in 1951. He is on Article 22 visa under the sponsorship of Mirad Shah Qeli Mirani. He was arrested in Rawda.
â– Lutfi Bukheit Habeeb, born in 1982, who works as heavy truck driver at Al- Suhum Al-Multahib Company and Nader Bukheit Habeeb, born in 1975, who works in Newjersy General Trading Company. Both are from Egypt and they were arrested in Adeiliya area with KD 27 in their possession.
â– Ali Abbas Fakhri Deen, born in 1978. He is under the sponsorship of Rau Tailor Shop for Men. He was arrested in Farwaniya with KD 29 in his possession.
â– Subha Alaa, born in 1967 and under the sponsorship of Habeeb AbdulHameed Habeeb Awadh. He was arrested in Farwaniya with KD 36 in his possession.
The department confirmed all those arrested were referred to the concerned security unit where necessary legal measures were taken against them. The department said the relevant agencies will continue the campaign in a bid to arrest all those begging and to prevent this uncivilized phenomenon from spreading.
The department added that police will follow-up the sponsors of those who were arrested for begging, asserting there is no slackness in dealing with such issues
