Accusing The Former Of Attacking Kuwaitis By Describing Them As Hybrids

26 April 2017 Crime News

The Public Prosecution has extended detention of a lawyer involved in a case filed by Attorney Ayed Mahadi Al-Rashidi on behalf of the State Security Department, accusing the former of attacking Kuwaitis by describing them as “hybrids.”

Al-Rashidi alleged the accused posted a statement on his official Twitter page demeaning Kuwait and its government.  He purportedly spread false information about internal affairs which negatively affected confidence and integrity of Kuwait before other countries and governments across the world.

The malicious statement claimed that Kuwait grants citizenship to “hybrids and illegitimate children”, so this is considered conflict of national interest.  He urged the court to apply Article 15 of law number 31/1970 with some of the amended provisions of Penal Code number 16/1960.
