Court Ordered A Telecommunications Company To Pay Kd 15,00 In Compensation

A Kuwaiti court has ordered a telecommunications company to pay KD 15,00 in compensation to a Kuwaiti man who subscribed to its telephone line. The case file indicated the company issued payment order against the plaintiff based on agreement between them, and the plaintiff complied with the payment. However, he was issued the same bill for a second time and the company took necessary measures against him, ignoring the previous payment, and again collected the fee. Lawyer Nawaf Al-Muhanadi representing the plaintiff the said his client decided to sue the company for moral and material damage. He presented documented evidence to support his client’s claim and a memo describing reasons for the lawsuit. He maintained the company must compensate his client due to moral and material damages he endured through the illegitimate action of the company in placing travel ban on him and seizing his cars.
