The Ministry of Interior has achieved a lot in terms of reducing crime rate, owing to the qualitative changes in arrest and security campaigns characterized by highest control, initiatives and alert levels.

Crime rate reduced by nine percent compared to last year whereas the criminal cases reduced by 18 percent. Cases against unknown individuals decreased by 28 percent while drug consumption, marketing and dealing cases decreased by 17 percent at a time that record number of arrests reached 7,000 and more than 2,000 suspects approximately.

Despite these achievements, there is still room for intensifying efforts to continue reducing the crime rate and to protect the entire community.
