Csc Approved Hiring Of A Number Of Bedoun Teachers For Three Years
The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has approved the hiring of a number of Bedoun teachers for three years, with a monthly stipend of 480 dinars, including a housing allowance of 60 dinars, in light of the absence of qualified Kuwaiti candidates to fill these posts, reports Al-Rai daily.
The Assistant Undersecretary for Financial and Administrative Affairs at the CSC, Badr Al-Hamad, said the names of the teachers have been approved for employment and were included in the database provided by the Central Agency for Illegal Residents Affairs as they meet the conditions stipulated in this regard.
The teachers will be hired for a period of 3 years starting from the date of their employment. Besides the monthly salary and housing allowance, the teachers will be entitled for the cost of living allowance in accordance with the CSC Decision No. 5/2007 amended by CSC Decision No. 2/2017. In this regard, an educational source said the Human Resources Department of the Ministry of Education “has never stopped the appointment of teachers from this category in the required educational specializations, according to the ministry’s need, as was announced by the Assistant Undersecretary for Public Education Fatima Al-Kandari.
However, the sources stressed, priority is always for the Bedoun after the Kuwaitis and added the ministry had no role in stopping the salaries of some of them but it was based upon the instructions of the central authority following the expiry of their security IDs. The source said the Ministry of Education has identified the needs of the teaching staff for the next academic 2018-2019 in some specialties which are not available among the Kuwaitis.
