Detention Of Real-estate Company Director Of Swindling 47 Citizens

The Public Prosecution has ordered the detention of a real-estate company director for 21 days in Central Prison over allegations of swindling 47 Kuwaiti citizens. The Public Prosecution had interrogated him following complaints by judicial officials who dealt with the company. The Public Funds Prosecution and Commercial Affairs will interrogate the suspect to confront him with the complaints lodged against him which include fraud and money laundering. The amount of money he is reported to have swindled citizens exceeds KD 3 million. Several complaints were lodged against the company after it had announced that citizens could own real estates in the USA through the company. This however was later proven to be false, after several citizens became victims of the scam.
