Dgca Chief Calls On Passengers To Be At Airport 3 Hours Before Flights
Director General of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) Yousif Al-Fawzan has called on all those who will spend the national holidays abroad to be at the airport three hours before their flight, reports Al- Anba daily.
He revealed the current capacity of Kuwait International Airport stands at 14 million passengers annually, affirming the DGCA and Interior Ministry are fully prepared to deal with the expected huge crowd of passengers during the holidays. He urged travelers to ensure they have valid travel documents to avoid any delay in their flight. Meanwhile, the Supervisory Positions Committee has filled up a number of vacant supervisory posts in Sabah, Hawally and Ahmadi health districts, reports Al- Anba daily quoting sources.
Sources revealed Tahani Al-Mutairi was appointed as head of Nursing Services Office in Sabah Health District, Wasmia Abu Marzouk as head of Nursing Staff in Hawally Health District, Abdullah Falah Al-Azmi as Administrative and Financial Affairs Supervisor in Ahmadi Health District, Nawal Al-Shatti as Financial Affairs Department Head in Ahmadi Health District, and Saoud Al-Khalid as Administrative Affairs Department Head in Adan Hospital. Fifty percent of students in all academic levels were absent on Wednesday, reports Al-Anba daily.
;Sources told the daily that absenteeism is common among students some days before public holidays, pointing out that schools celebrated the national holidays and honored superiors on Wednesday. Sources expect the absenteeism phenomenon to continue until Thursday, stressing the need to submit the names of absent students to the educational districts.
In the meanwhile, the State Audit Bureau (SAB) has approved the proposal to transfer the functions of the Public Authority for Printing and Publication of the Holy Quran to the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, reports Al-Anba daily quoting sources. Sources explained this step is part of ongoing efforts to rationalize public spending.
