Expatriate Teachers To Be Recruited To Teach Subjects That Cannot Be Covered By Kuwaiti Teachers
The Public Education Sector of Ministry of Education has specified the exact need for new expatriate teachers to teach subjects that cannot be covered by Kuwaiti teachers, reports Al-Qabas daily quoting sources from the education sector.
The sources revealed that female teachers for subjects such as Arabic, Social Studies and Islamic Studies are available among Kuwaitis. They indicated that two committees will soon be formed to interview the male and female candidates for the available positions, adding that relevant procedures such as signing of contracts and travelling to Kuwait will be completed before the start of the academic year 2017/2018. The sources explained that teachers will be recruited from Egypt for subjects such as Mathematics, Music and Physical Education.
Teachers will be recruited from Jordan for subjects such as French, English, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology and Geology. They indicated that the Public Education Sector has asked the Administrative Sector to communicate with the cultural attachés of Egypt and Jordan in order to ensure the relevant procedures which include placing advertisements for teachers are completed as soon as possible. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Education is preparing to participate in the National Days celebrations, revealing that a tender worth KD 121,000 for supplying meals to students and executives who participate in the national operetta will be floated soon, reports Al-Rai daily. Assistant Undersecretary for Financial Affairs at Ministry of Education Yousef Al-Najjar has requested the undersecretary of State Audit Bureau to revise the tender and provide the ministry with their observations prior to deciding on the winner of the tender.
