According to security sources, the victim was rushed to the Jahra Hospital with bloodied clothes. He was also stabbed in the back during the fight with a knife. The man arrived at the hospital in a serious condition and was rushed to the intensive care unit. He is said to have lost four teeth from the upper jaw and two from the lower teeth. The details of the fight are not known since the victim, who is believed to be in his 30s, is semiconscious and unable to talk. It is also not known what the cause of the fight was.
Two firemen were given first aid after they complained of fatigue as they battled a fire in the carpentry shop in the basement of a six-storey residential building in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, reports Al-Rai daily. Firefighters also extinguished another fire to a minibus which was parked in front of a commercial complex in the Jahra Industrial Area. The fire sources are investigating the cause of the fire. The daily quoting fire sources said as soon as the fire was reported, firemen from the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh fire center rushed to the spot and put out the fire before it extended to the adjoining areas. Except for the two firemen, no other casualties have been reported. A case has been filed against the owner of the carpentry workshop for operating it without licence and for not complying with security and safety requirements.
