Hh Amir Extends Condolences To Bangladesh President
His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent a cable on Tuesday to President of Bangladesh Mohammad Abdul Hamid, offering his condolences over casualties and injuries of a train collision east of the country.
His Highness the Amir prayed to Allah Almighty to bestow mercy upon the dead and wished a speedy recovery for the injured. His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al- Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah have sent similar cables to President Abdul Hamid.
Meanwhile, National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim on Monday sent a cable of condolences to Bangladeshi counterpart Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury.
In the cable, Al-Ghanim expressed deepest sympathies over the victims of Cyclone Bulbul that swept through different parts of the country, wishing local officials will be able to overcome impact of such natural disaster.
In the same context, Speaker Al-Ghanim extended condolences to the Speaker of the Australian House of Representatives Tony Smith, and President of the Australian Senate Scott Ryan over the victims of bushfires that ripped through eastern Australia.
