Indian Girl Brought Up In Kuwait Wins Mrs. India Title
Born in India , brought up in Kuwait, Bhavana Bahl Malhotra who now resides in Singapore recently won the Mrs India 2017-Queen of substance title held in New Delhi, India on 14th of April. The pageant was open to all married women of Indian origin. Out of the 43 contestants, Bhavana was declared as the winner . The pageant was conducted over a period of 3 days from 12th to 14th April during which several preliminary rounds were held and the contestants were scored on the basis of their fitness, beauty, intelligence, talent, elegance , punctuality , social work and intellectual skills.
Bhavana’s family moved to Kuwait in 1991. She did her schooling from Carmel school and later on she moved out for further studies. After coming back to Kuwait in 2008, she started working in one of the biggest retail giants in Middle east till she got married and moved to Australia and then Singapore in 2014.
On winning the title, Bhavana said, that it’s a huge platform for married women and by winning this title, she is going to set an example for those who think that dreams cannot come true after marriage. Women need to believe in themselves and empower one another.
She visits her parents every year who still live in Kuwait. We wish her all the best and for making all the Indians in Kuwait proud.
