Inspection Teams Closed 2 Supermarkets And 9 Other Stores For Violating Precautionary Measures
The Ministry of Trade and Industry announced today, Tuesday, 15 supermarkets were shut for not adhering to precautionary measures laid by Ministry of Health.
MOCI said in a statement to Kuwait News Agency that its inspection teams closed two supermarkets and nine other stores, in addition to monitoring 500 cooperative societies, supermarkets, and vegetable shops and stands to determine the extent of their commitment and to maintain the stability of product prices.
Sources stated that the inspection teams monitored 80 catering branches to ensure the smooth flow of sales and delivery of foodstuffs to their beneficiaries. The Ministry of Trade and Industry hotline received 269 complaints via telephone number 135 and 19 complaints through the call centers, while the 332 ration cards were issued
