Internet Service Disruption In Shuwaikh

Internet connections in some areas of Shuwaikh were disrupted yesterday following an accidental cut of the fibre optic cable connecting the areas to the undersea cable.

Several companies in the Industrial area of Shuwaikh experienced disruption of internet service from around 8:00 am yesterday. According to reports, the fibre optic cable was accidentally cut by a sharp object being used in the on-going construction activities in these areas and this resulted in the disruption of internet services.

As per the Ministry of Communication it will be reconnect and ready by Thursday evening.
