Just 60 Seconds Lost 1,800 Dinars

In just 60 seconds a Kuwaiti lost 1,800 dinars from his bank account, allegedly to a fraud wizard, reports Al-Anba daily. Although several times it has been reported in newspapers and all media channels warning expatriates and Kuwaitis not to fall prey to those who impersonate bank employees and ask for their bank accounts numbers and pertaining details, the Kuwaiti allegedly did follow that and ended up losing the money.

After the victim filed a complaint with the Riqqa Police Station, the case has been handed over to the Electronic Crimes Investigation Department of the Ministry of Interior.

This time the suspect allegedly succeeded in convincing his victim that he will not be able to use his ATM card unless he updates it within 60 seconds and that the bank will freeze his account.
