Kd 30 Fine For Illegal Fish Sales
The Al-Qibla Cleaning and Hygiene Market branch in the Capital Governorate organized a field campaign along the beach to arrest street vendors who sell fish, violations committed by shops in the area, and seized boats which were left unattended in public places, reports Al-Rai daily.
Director of the Hygiene and Road Occupations Department of the Capital Governorate Municipality Mishal Al-Azmi told the daily the administration has taken legal action against hawkers selling fish outside the fish market.
The fish was destroyed and the person was fined KD 30. Al-Azmi pointed out the aim of intensifying campaigns is to eliminate the phenomenon of street vendors, especially as the campaigns are conducted on a daily basis. He stressed the seller is forced to destroy all the confiscated fish is because it is considered inedible.
