Koc Not Complying With Government And Csc Decisions - Kpc Workers Union
The Kuwait Petroleum Corporation Workers Union in reaction to what was published by the Al-Anba daily about the company’s request for engineers and technicians from several foreign and Arab countries including the US, Canada, Europe and Egypt has called on the company employees to immediately drop the demand, reports Al- Anba daily.
The union said that the KOC is not complying with the decisions of the Council of Ministers and the Civil Service Commission by Kuwaitizing all sectors of the state, especially the oil sector. The union stressed that it would take a firm stance against the administration’s mismanagement and its apparent arbitrariness in appointing the people of Kuwait while opening its doors wide to foreign companies and expatriate workers, who have proved their lack of efficiency or experience.
The union added that the recruitment of Kuwaitis in all sectors and companies of the oil sector has become a requirement in the interest of the homeland and citizens in light thousands of young Kuwaitis graduating annually in engineering and petroleum specialties from the outstanding international universities, including the Kuwait University. The union concluded its statement by warning that the recruitment of expatriate workers randomly and neglecting the competencies of the people of this country was one of the main reasons behind the comprehensive strike which the country witnessed three years ago
