21 January 2019 Crime News

The number of expatriates who were deported by the security authorities dropped by 45% last year, to stand at 17,000.

The security authorities had deported more than 29,000 illegal expatriates from the country in 2017, for flouting residence and labour laws.

“The decreasing number of deportees resulted from the drop in illegal expatriates in Kuwait”, a source told Alqabas newspaper.

In 2018, the security authorities deported 31,000 illegal expatriates in a clampdown on residence and labour laws violators.
