Kuwait Eyeing 100 Pct Kuwaitization In Govt Sector
Moody’s Corporation said Kuwait is eyeing a hundred percent Kuwaitization in the public sector and 30 to 60 percent in the private sector by 2028, disclosing that nationals working in the banking sector currently constitute 66 percent of the total workforce and only three percent in other sectors such as industries, manufacturing and agriculture, reports Al- Anba daily. Moody’s also affirmed stable outlook for Kuwait and other membernations of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
Meanwhile, Al-Qabas daily quoted Moody’s as saying that the generation of jobs for citizens remains weak in the GCC, especially in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Oman. It added the high unemployment rate will lead to more procedures to Kuwaitize the labor market and this might lead to low production.
Meanwhile, Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr Hamid Al-Azmi has appointed former director of Hawally Educational Zone Anwar Al-Anjari to work in his office as Adviser of Educational Affairs, reports Al-Anba daily. In another development, informed educational sources revealed that a teacher who works at a foreign school has been accused of leaking a question paper to her son, who in turn shared it with his classmates. They said the discovery was made while correcting the answer sheets as all the answers were the same for the students.
