Kuwait National Day

Kuwait is celebrating 56th National Day and 26th Liberation Day, The independence day was declared on June 19, 1961 during the reign of the late Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, who assumed power in 1950. His coronation was on February 25, and thus everybody agreed to merge both anniversaries in one, and ever since Kuwait has been celebrating its national day on February 25.
