Kuwaiti On Travel Ban Escaped From Kuwait

 

The security authorities have summoned the employees of the Nuwaiseeb border point to identify if it was negligence or preplanned incident which allowed a Kuwaiti to leave the country, reports Al-Rai daily.

The incident came to light when the Kuwaiti arrived via the Kuwait International Airport and the immigration officer discovered there was no exit movement.

Moreover, the officer discovered the passenger had a travel ban and referred the issue to the concerned authority. During interrogation the passenger admitted to leaving the country via Nuwaiseeb by hiding under a pile of objects.

The Ministry of Interior has opened an investigation into the incident to determine the shortcomings at the border port, and ensure that no one colluded to help the passenger leave the country. A security source said the ministry will check the surveillance cameras to determine the circumstances and accordingly take legal action.
