Married Female Absconders Can Shift To Dependent Visa

Assistant Undersecretary for Citizenship and Passport Affairs Major General Sheikh Mazen Al-Jarrah issued a decision to reduce the number of individuals registered as absconders based on certain criteria. He ordered to lift the names of married women reported as absconding and who hold residency under Article 18 or Article 22 under their husbands, provided the husband has valid residency and salary to sponsor his wife. Married women with Article 18 and reported as absconding will be granted Article 22 residency under their husbands if the latter meet the abovementioned conditions; however, their residency will not be transferred to Article 18 residency again.
