Ministry Of Information Prepares Bylaws For Online Publications

Director of Electronic Publishing Management in the Ministry of Information Lafi Al-Subaie has confirmed preparation of a bylaw for supporting licensed electronic accounts and websites including electronic newspapers, reports Alrai daily.

Speaking to the daily, Al-Subaie disclosed the ministerial resolution on the executive bylaw for E-Media Law number 8/2016 mandates the ministry to support electronic websites.

He explained there are two categories of such support: first is technical and scientific to facilitate the tasks of these websites such as covering conferences, seminars and official events as well as issuance of required decisions; and second is material to specify the value and quality of support that will be offered and the mechanism of disbursement.
