Ministry Of Public Works Decided To Terminate 18 Expatriate Employees

Acting Ministry of Public Works Undersecretary Khalid Al-Khazi has signed a decision to terminate 18 expatriate employees, reports Al-Qabas daily quoting knowledgeable sources. Sources said this step was taken in line with the Kuwaitization policy indicating the ministry had earlier informed the Civil Service Commission (CSC) about the decision in accordance with the latter’s circular obliging all institutions to specify the Kuwaitization rate in each functional group in the next five years. Sources affirmed that employees referred for retirement will receive financial privileges as per the law, adding their service at the ministry will end on July 1, 2018.
