Misdemeanor Court Cancelled The Decision Of The First Instance Court Of Accusing Citizen
The Misdemeanor Court cancelled the decision of the First Instance Court which imposed one year imprisonment and fine of KD 1,000 on a citizen accused of insulting a compatriot and misusing his phone. Attorney Zaid Al-Khabbaz, who represented the accused, called for invalidation of charges filed against his client due to the absence of incriminating evidence. He presented evidence that the phone mentioned in the case file does not belong to his client and it is not registered under his name so there is no proof that he committed the above mentioned offense.
