Moh Wins 85 Percent Of Medical Error Cases

Assistant Undersecretary for Legal Affairs at Ministry of Health Dr Mohammad Abdulhadi affirmed in a statement that the average number of cases related to medical errors filed against the ministry annually ranges between 70-90 but the ministry wins 85 percent of them, reports Annahar daily.

He stressed that all these cases filed against the ministry are not necessarily aimed to find the ministry guilty but some of them are aimed to shed light on the treatment procedures based on international policies and protocols. Dr Abdulhadi insisted that there are no missing files related to medical errors, affirming that all such files are with the Legal Affairs Department which has been dealing with them in coordination with the Forensics Department, Justice Palace and Fatwa and Legislation Department
