Mother Of Disabled Moudhi Sultan Al-issa Passed Away At The Age Of 100

Kuwait, lost recently one of the most prominent citizens ‘the mother of the disabled’ Moudhi Sultan Al-Issa.

The late Al-Issa, who passed away at the age of 100, was a pioneer of volunteer and humanitarian work in Kuwait and the Arab world. She was a nominee for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2005. She began the volunteer work at the age of 9. She sewed clothes and sold for profit, part of which she handed over for charity work. She also distributed Zakat aid with her father to the needy families.

In collaboration with Munira Al-Qatami and Munira Al-Mutawa, she formed an association in 1962 to care for the disabled which was officially recognized in 1971. The late Al-Issa spent her entire life in serving the disabled to provide them education, a decent life and helped them integrate into society
