Mother Saves Her 4 Month Baby From Maid
A 4-month-old baby girl was saved by her mother when the family’s housemaid tried to murder the child in Al-Kharj, Riyadh.
A local publication reported that the Bangladeshi housemaid sneaked into the baby's room and put one hand on the baby's mouth and the other hand on her neck. The mother, who was in another room, felt worried about her baby for a moment and asked the older sister to go and check on her. Upon arriving at the room, she saw the maid trying to strangle the baby. She screamed for her mother to come and help.
The baby's father was quoted as saying to the publication that he received a call from his family telling him what had happened: "I quickly went home and found my wife in a bad psychological state and my baby girl was unconscious. Her face had even turned blue".
He added: "Our neighbour administered first aid to the baby and told us that she was alive but unconscious. We immediately took her to King Khalid Hospital in Al-Kharj and the medical team revived her."
The father said the maid came to their house 12 days ago: "She was 29. She immediately asked for a raise, which I gave her in addition to a mobile. My wife bought her clothes worth more than SR500 and we all treated her very well."
A source at Al-Kharj Police Department said the security authorities arrested the maid and will refer the case to the Bureau of Investigation and Public Prosecution for further procedures.
