Mp Questioned On Banned Books
MP Khalid Al-Shatti has presented questions to acting Minister of Information and State Minister for Cabinet Affairs Sheikh Mohammad Al-Abdullah Al- Sabah about the banned books were presented earlier to the Press and Publications Department in the Information Ministry.
He requested for a list of banned books, names of their authors, reasons for banning them, names of the supervisory committee members tasked to inspect contents of the books, their academic qualifications, names of the members of the Grievance Committee which evaluates decisions of the supervisory committee, their qualifications, and list of books that the Grievance Committee approved.
;On the other hand, MP Adel Al-Damkhi has also forwarded questions to Sheikh Mohammad Al-Abdullah regarding the current situation in the region. He pointed out that the concerned ministries must provide security for citizens at home and abroad, considering the unstable political and security conditions in the region. He stressed the need for intensified efforts and preparations to confront any potential threat. He asked if the concerned ministries are taking the necessary steps to secure vital installations like the embassies, consulates and offices of the State of Kuwait all over the world. He also requested for a copy of contingency plans, if any.
