Municipality Inspectors During Raids In Restaurants And Food Stores
The Public Relations Department of Kuwait Municipality declared the continuation of the second stage of its campaign titled “Your Health is our Trust” which is aimed at the cleanliness of the mosques’ yards and sidewalks, and safety of foodstuffs during the month of Ramadan, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
In a press release, the department explained that the inspection teams, during their campaigns in the last three days, removed 93 violating advertisements, destroyed 898 kilograms of spoiled foodstuff and issued 44 citations for various violations such as employment of labors without health certificates, and opening shops and stores before obtaining relevant licenses from Kuwait Municipality.
The department revealed that the emergency teams of Hawalli Municipality carried out a number of campaigns in the last 24 hours which resulted in issuance of 49 citations as well as confiscation and destruction of 898 kilograms of spoiled foodstuffs.
It stressed that teams from the Public Hygiene and Road Occupancy Department at Hawalli Municipality carried out campaigns targeting cleaning machines in 210 mosques, during which they arrested 14 packmen and confiscated cargo of a half lorry in Riggae area. The department affirmed that such campaigns will continue to control such violations and ensure all shops and stores follow the regulations of Kuwait Municipality.
