New Medical Charges Will Be Evaluated After 3 Months
Acting Undersecretary at the Ministry of Health Dr Muhammad Al-Khashti disclosed the decision activated on the new health service fees for expatriates will be evaluated three months from the date of its implementation.
He added the concerned authority will decide on whether to cancel or continue implementing the new health service fees for expatriates after surveying the outcome, adding the decision was approved by the council of assistant undersecretaries -Â the highest authority in the ministry.
As regards medical cases rejected by the overseas treatment committee, Al-Khashti noted the patients will be treated in private hospitals, indicating a committee has since been formed to re-evaluate cases of that nature.
The Ministry of Health has issued instructions to inspectors working for the Health Center of the Kuwait International Airport that passengers arriving from Madagascar and Uganda directly or indirectly should be referred for health inspection reports Al-Anba daily quoting knowledgeable health sources.
The sources mentioned that this move came as a result of the outbreak of pestilence in Madagascar and cholera in Uganda. This action is aimed at preventing the spread of the epidemic in the country. The sources pointed out, the ministry is following up the outbreaks of epidemics around the world in coordination with the World Health Organization (WHO).
